Dear friend, do you fear God?

This perhaps is a question you may not have been asked before or given a great thought to because in our modern society, the fear of the Lord has been pushed to the periphery. We have replaced the fear of the Lord with personal autonomy, self-centred pursuits and emphasis on personal desires.

The absence of the fear of the LORD has ushered in a wave of consequences that ripple through our communities, unravelling the moral fabric and eroding the values that once held us together. Family breakdowns and the disintegration of meaningful connections are all consequences of the absence of the fear of the LORD.

Despite the myriad of methods we've attempted to combat the inescapable void and pervasive lack of fulfilment in our society, these approaches had offered nothing more than fleeting relief or a mere illusion of fulfilment. Not only had they failed to grapple with the profound underlying challenges and the emptiness that gnaws at our souls, they have led many unwittingly to become victims of exploitation and manipulation.

But there is hope. It is my conviction that similar to the days of Prophet Malachi in the Bible, the LORD is calling each and every one of us who confesses His name to return to reverent fear. So that like the faithful remnant in those days, we too may truly find and fulfil our divine purposes and the LORD may fulfil His promise to make a distinction between those who fear Him and those who do not.

Unless We Return To Reverent Fear Of The Lord...

We will continue in the downward spiral of moral decay, self-centredness and palpable void that has engulfed our society.
We will lose the knowledge of the true God as we each create and worship our own God that agrees with whatever we choose to do.
Christians' witnessing will lack God's attestation and consequently credibility.
We would forfeit God's protection, guidance, and all the great and precious promises He promised those who fear Him.
Professing Christians will have no answer for the dying world around us because our lives and experiences will not be different from theirs.
We would fail the next generation and leave them in a more dire state without hope.
We would loose the key to purposeful and fulfiling life - life will have no meaning but futility and merely chasing the wind.

My Prayer...

Through this book, may you rekindle your relationship with the Almighty God by embracing a reverent fear of LORD and as a result lead a life that is truly distinct, purposeful and fulfilling in Jesus' mighty name.

Returning To Reverent Fear Of The Lord Will...

Restore justice and righteousness in our society. (see Isaiah 33:5-6)
Teach us wisdom and help us retain knowledge of the true God. (see Proverbs 2:5-6)
Guarantee God's protection, provision and ensures we lack nothing. (see Psalm 34:9)
Ensure a distinct and purposeful life. (see Malachi 3:16-18)
Make us recipients of divine guidance and counsel. (see Psalm 25:12, 14)
Lead to peace, growth and advancement of the true Church of Christ. (see Acts 9:31)
Bring contentment and true fulfilment. It will deliver us from relentlessly chasing after futility. (see Proverbs 19:23)
Deliver us from all other fears. (see Psalm 34:4)
